Frequently Asked Questions

How much do you charge for freight/delivery?

We charge a FLAT fee of $8.50. No matter how many items you order or where they are going to (except PO Boxes), you only pay $8.50. If your order is going to a PO Box the delivery fee is $15, WHY? - we used to deliver to PO Boxes using AAE or if you were not home they would take your parcel to the nearest Post office all for a flat fee. Now they want double to go to Post Office Boxes so we have to pass this fee on to "you" the customer.

If you are not going to be home and sending your parcel to a PO Box is too expensive you can have the parcel left at your door but this is at your own risk!!

Can I pick up my order in person?

As we are an Internet based business we are not set up like a regular retail outlet. Our products are spread around the country and ship directly from our warehouses. We may not have the cartridge you require in your local warehouse. Due to security reasons we are unable to provide a pick up at our warehouses. For a flat fee of $8.50 we can deliver anything anywhere in Australia. You could not drive to any of our warehouses for that price.

Do you deliver Overseas?

Yes, we do sell to customers overseas. You can only pay by Direct Deposit into our bank account and the freight has to be quoted on each order. Please contact us if you want products sent outside Australia.

Are your products original?

Yes, we do sell original products. All products on this site are original unless mentioned otherwise. However there are massive savings to be made from our Compatible and Remanufactured cartridges. The only difference you will notice will be the price; with great savings over the cost of originals.

What does OEM mean?

OEM is an abbreviation for Original Equipment Manufacturer and refers to the company which manufactured the printer, photocopier or fax machine, such as Canon, HP, Sharp, Lexmark, Brother, Epson, etc. These manufacturers also supply replacement ink or toner cartridges and normally will put their name on these products, though their cartridges may in fact be manufactured by a sub-contractor. The Cartridge Warehouse sells a full range of OEM cartridges at very competitive prices.

What are Compatible Cartridges?

Compatible Cartridges are specially manufactured to meet or exceed OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications and high standards of quality and reliability. Designed to be 100% compatible and interchangeable with OEM cartridges, and containing only new components, they afford big savings over brand-name OEM Cartridges and supplies.

What are Remanufactured Cartridges?

Remanufactured Cartridges are OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) cartridges, which have been reprocessed to meet or exceed the Original Equipment Manufacturers` specifications. The Remanufacturing process involves disassembling, inspecting, cleaning, replacing parts, reassembling, and filling with toner or ink. The Cartridges are then print tested, sealed, and packaged for resale. Our Remanufactured Cartridges will perform in the same manner and to at least the same standard as the original cartridge.

What is an Ink Refill Kit ?

This is a kit containing the parts ( ink, syringe, clips and instructions) necessary to refill your depleted cartridge with new ink. This is normally the lowest cost way to extend your cartridge life.

Will using Compatible or Remanufactured cartridges, or Ink Refills void my warranty?

The Australian Consumers' Association Choice Magazine has undertaken a survey into the use of compatible cartridges and spoke to Epson, Hewlett-Packard, Canon and Lexmark. They were informed by all companies that the 'printer warranty would NOT be affected by the use of compatibles or refilled cartridges'. In fact in Australia it is illegal under the Trade Practices Act for a printer manufacturer to require a consumer to use a particular brand of ink or cartridge. The brand of cartridge, ink or paper you purchase is your decision.

Can I pay by cheque?

Yes, we accept cheques from Australian customers. Personal cheques must have your name and address written on the back. Business cheques are also accepted. All cheques are cleared prior to shipping. Please send cheques made payable to The Cartridge Warehouse for the full amount to :
